Techniplan was established in 1983 by its owner, Colin Wolf, who is still involved with the company on a consultative basis.
The company originally concentrated on the design of large materials handling systems such as conveyors, shiploaders, stackers and reclaimers and processing plants for the mining industry.
Starting in 1985, Techniplan began to bid and win turnkey design contracts. Over the last 28 years these contracts have varied in range from as small as thirty thousand dollar attachments to forklifts and excavators up to multi million dollar plant upgrades and green field multi- disciplinary projects.
Techniplan was purchased by Halley and Mellowes in 2009 resulting in a strengthening of Techniplan's presence throughout Australasia and our project capabilities.
HMA Techniplan today is a multi-disciplinary engineering company providing engineering services and products to a wide range of industry sectors including mining, petrochemical, rail, agriculture, ports, water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure.
