HMA Techniplan to supply another Rail Heater to QR

Techniplan was recently a contract to supply an additional Rail Heater to Queensland Rail (QR). This order represents the second rail heater to be supplied to QR and will incorporate improved gas storage and operator interface.  The Heater is required by QR to assist in the installation of new rail lines as they continue to increase the size of the network in response to increased demand in freight and passengers
This continues the good working relationship between QR and Techniplan which has resulted in many innovative and effective equipment solutions for rail installation and maintenance.

New ship loader for TasPorts

HMA Techniplan recently completed the installation and commissioning of a new loading facility at TasPorts Bell Bay Wood Chip terminal. Using the ports experience with their existing system, Techniplan was able to provide a design that was able to incorporate many features to make the equipment easier and safer to operate as well as maintain. The equipment scope included a new Jet Slinger, Telescopic chute and Winch.
TasPorts recognised the advantage of having the designer/supplier involved with installation and contracted Techniplan to manage the part of the project. Using local contractors, Techniplan was able to conduct the equipment change with the allocated time and be ready to load the next shipment of wood chip without any delays.
Techniplan has supplied over 30 Jet Slingers as well as numerous telescopic chutes in recent years in shiploading and stockpiling applications for various materials such as wood chip, sugar, coal and grain.
